Gems...
These things are pretty neat. If you go into your inventory and select use after cutting a gem, you are sent to your equipment page, where you can attach the gem to a piece of equipment, giving it the bonus that the gem offers. I wouldn't go attaching anything that we can craft at the low levels to an LTO, which by the way can be socketed, but you can attach them to other items.

when i got to level 11 every time i tried to make the cloth it kept saying that the item was destroyed until i didnt have any energy left, multiple times. would this be considered a continuous glitch or just bad luck?

im a lvl 11 crafter and i can cut square gems. but where do i get these gems? i can Shape Amethyst but dont know what that is or what it means (im alil slow give me a break) :/ if any1 can help me with this i would be most greatfull i have travelled every port in search for these things.

Yo, you find gems in the "gather goods" section (under "professios") on the main page of most ports. Suchs as Spain, Rome,Skull Island.. When you cut gems in various shapes you add something extra too them, like +2% speed or 2% def. Then you can put the gem in a piece of equipment (as described above).

oh and an Amethyst is some kind of gem, you also find it in the "gather goods"
